East Central ISD will hold a public meeting on Sept. 17, 2026, regarding the district’s certification of compliance as required by Senate Bill 12. Members of the public will have an opportunity to provide comments prior to Board action.

East Central ISD’s Registration Center will provide walk-in assistance for Pre-K and new to EC Kindergarten families from June 2 through July 9 at the ECISD Educational Services Complex.

East Central ISD online registration for the 2026–2027 school year is now underway through ParentPortal. Pre-K and Kindergarten registration is open now, with New Student registration opening June 1 and Returning Student registration opening July 6.

East Central ISD ranks among San Antonio's best elementary schools in 2025, according to new Children at Risk data. Highland Forest, Salado and Oak Crest all earn Gold Ribbons. This places ECISD among a limited group of districts with multiple Gold Ribbon campuses in 2025.

We are proud to share that the Texas Education Agency has released the 2024–2025 Financial Integrity ratings, and East Central ISD has once again earned the highest score possible. ECISD received a perfect 100 and an “A” rating for Superior Achievement.
