Greetings Salado Families! My name is Delilah De La Rosa and I’m extremely excited and blessed to serve the Salado community as the Assistant Principal. I am a mother to 3 amazing children and a wife to another public servant. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Masters of Arts in Education in Curriculum & Instruction and School Leadership from UTSA. I’ve been an educator for fifteen years as an Instructional Assistant, Teacher, Instructional Literacy Coach, Interventionist, and currently as Assistant Principal. My goal this year is to learn the campus systems while developing as many positive relationships with our students and families. I am a believer in fostering and developing the best possible educational experience and opportunity for all students. This is going to be a great school year and please know that I am here for you!

I am thrilled to welcome you to another exciting school year filled with opportunities for growth, collaboration, and success. It is an honor and a privilege to continue serving as the Academic Facilitator at Salado Elementary.

This year marks my 21st year in education, which I’ve proudly spent within the East Central community. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve worked with students in Kindergarten through Third Grade in the Dual Language program. These experiences have shaped my deep commitment to fostering a learning environment where every student is encouraged to reach their highest potential.

My goal as Academic Facilitator is to cultivate a culture of high expectations, where both students and staff strive for excellence and experience meaningful growth academically, socially, and emotionally.

Hello! My name is Audrey Castillo, and I am thrilled to begin my 17th year in education and my 3rd year at East Central ISD. I proudly serve as the Monolingual Literacy Coach at Salado Elementary, where I have the privilege of supporting both students and teachers in developing strong literacy foundations that open doors to lifelong learning.

Throughout my career, I have served as an early childhood teacher, interventionist, and instructional coach. Each of these roles has shaped my belief that every child is capable of growth when given high expectations, meaningful instruction, and a supportive environment. I believe in the power of collaboration and strive to empower educators with the tools and strategies they need to help all students thrive.

I hold a Master’s degree in Education from Sul Ross State University, and I am a proud mother of three amazing boys who inspire me every day to lead with empathy, consistency, and purpose.

At Salado Elementary, I am committed to fostering a learning community where literacy is celebrated, challenges are embraced, and all learners feel seen, valued, and equipped for success. I look forward to working alongside our incredible staff and families for a year filled with growth, connection, and opportunity.

Patriot Family, I am the Special Education Facilitator. I am a product of East Central and a graduate of Texas State University. I have 14 years of experience in education. I was a 4th-grade teacher, a special education teacher, and now a facilitator. I have been at Salado for 11 years. The special education department seeks to identify learning challenges for our students so that we can create a plan to meet our student’s needs. We look forward to serving our students and our families.

I earned my Master in Library Science from Texas Woman's University and a Masters in Reading from Texas A&M San Antonio. I am passionate about all things reading, providing access for all our students, and to create and cultivate a community of readers.
